Art of the Genre have announced their latest classic “1980’s AD&D style” hardcover book “The Complete Dungeons at World’s End!” This is part of ‘The Folio‘ series by Scott Taylor. The book compiles two adventure sets, as well as including new and never before released content that expands these. The adventures revolve around explorations into the unknown, one into the wild magic highlands of distant island and the other mounts and expedition into the ruins of an empire in the arctic north.
From the Kickstarter: “Welcome to the newest ‘orange spine’ adventure book. All adventures inside the book are laid out with incredible maps and and in both classic AD&D and new 5th Edition D&D mechanics. This book, and the adventures within, have been years in the making, and I look forward to seeing this collection help DMs take both high and low level characters through the challenges of settings on the edge of the known world. The first adventure set is for higher level characters, levels 10+, and the second is for new characters, and both are rendered mechanically” in classic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons format with full 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons details as well.
This project looks great, as do many of the previous 8 that have come before it. I have backed this although being in New Zealand it makes acquiring a hard copy (vs. a PDF version) rather less practical given the current logistics and postal cost situation – but I look forward to getting PDFs of all 9 books.
Previous Kickstarters
Here’s a list of the previously published books from this range – there is a backer option for the current 9th book in PDF that includes all 8 of the previous publications. All are 128 pages in length, and the physical hard cover versions fit perfectly with your old 1980s AD&D 1e book collections:
- The Complete Roslof Keep Campaign (a dungeon delve taking characters from 1st – 12th)
- The Complete Cities of Sorcery (2 trilogy adventures built around cities)
- The Storyteller’s Arcana (my personal RPG table notes, new spells, npcs, and monster encounters)
- The Folio of Fiendish Monsters (115 new monsters!)
- The Complete White Ship Campaign (a mega-travel campaign based on the ocean that takes characters from 1st – 12th level)
- The Complete Curse of Roslof Keep (high level mega-dungeon for characters 12th-18th)
- The Artifacts of Adventure (9 low level adventure modules)
- The Complete Black Label (6 adventures in a more ‘adult’ format).
(Apparently there is a tenth hardcover book, but at time of writing I couldn’t identify the title or if it was part of this series).
