History of D&D WOTC D&D 3rd, 3.5, 4th & 5th Editions

Once, there was this kid who…

Great amusing parody covering Hasbro, WotC, OGL, CEO’s who have no connection to the product they ‘sell’, and monetising D&D. It seems the old trope of the more things change the more they stay the same is true – haven’t we seen all this same thing with TSR during their death throws 1986-1997…?

Once—there was this kid who
Collected every D&D book WoTC ever made
Even when their binding fell apart
And they said that they were raising their prices
He couldn’t quite explain it
He said he’d always bought them.
Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.

Once—there was this girl who
Used to work at Microsoft and never played a game
But when they made her CEO
She said that D&D was underperforming.
She couldn’t quite explain it.
She said they needed money.
Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.

But the both boy and girl were glad
Because one kid had it worse than that.

Cuz once there was this guy who
Leaked a couple magic cards on his channel on YouTube.
And when the Wizards found out
They sent some Pinkertons to his front door
They couldn’t quite explain it,
They said just hand them over.
Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.
